Firstly about this blog…

This blog is home to Elton & Katie Mogg with our views and news on all things wedding, photography and some personal life moments thrown in too (don’t worry we won’t be posting every time we go out for a meal, unless you really want us to!).  We wanted to create a blog that could be used to showcase some of the latest work but also as a place of inspiration for brides and groom’s to be beyond just their wedding photography.  As other photographers have also been contacting us a lot about various photography related topics we felt it was about time we shared some of our knowledge and experience of being behind the camera too.

We are in a unique position and are lucky to have regular access to some truly amazing weddings and through actually being involved with the wedding and photographing it for posterity we also have a unique insight into how the wedding days run, what small touches really made a difference and where creativity can over come any budget.  As other blogs use our content already we felt it only fair we should start to share much more detail about our wedding experiences too and in doing so hopefully give our clients and any potential clients some inspiring ideas and any extra help we can.

And now the company…

Elton Mogg Photography was formed in 2004 and is the partnership between Elton & Katie.  We just recently celebrated our own 15th wedding anniversary and are lucky enough to work together to capture other couples celebrating their very own special day too.  We met whilst studying photography at College which has really helped us complement each others skills with Katie also helping with all the business side of things during the week and then shooting with me over the weekend.  We have two wonderful kids who keep us busy at all other times with our daughter loving dance, learning tap and being a small bit ‘drama’ and our son loving sport to the max with football and tennis being his favs as well as having the makings of a future artist or more likely cartoonist (he draws a mean Simpson’s character).  We are also in the process of extending and renovating a bungalow so don’t be surprised if you learn a bit more about that stressful subject during the course of the next few years.

The official company website has a link at the top of this blog so please do head over there for much more information about how we photograph weddings, pricing details and portfolios but if your staying here, please dig in and we hope you enjoy, comment and come back regularly.

kidsno this isn’t us as youngsters, although we are often told that they are the spitting images of us at that age
