The Tithe Barn in Petersfield hosted the beautiful wedding of Laura & Matt on a lovely sunny summers day. Laura had what is probably best described as a fifties themed look to her wedding day, a part of which I particularly liked was the mesh head piece she wore for the early stages of the day, it reminded me of Hollywood glamour which is always a nice thing to bring into your own wedding celebration.
The barn itself is quite cavernous and can easily hold a very large wedding crowd but also manages to give you that intimate feel by cleverly dividing up the space inside so the wedding could take place with all the pretty beams high overhead. Once the couple were happily wed it was off outside to enjoy the sunshine and large grounds, which now include a newly installed gypsy style caravan, which is obviously there for us photographers to make use of and of course the guests too – mostly children it has to be said and what child could resist.
Some time together for their pictures, a few groups and then it was just a case of capturing all the happiness that enveloped their day, making this a very easy wedding to capture some lovely moments from. As the day progressed it was back inside to enjoy the food, speeches and at the end of the evening some dancing to a very good band. A fifties styled wedding to match the couple made for a very unique and lovely day to photograph.
